M. J. Traders

If you’re looking for M. J. Traders, we are located at 1, Bonfield Lane, right up on the 1st Floor. It’s one of those old buildings where the stairs are a bit steep and the hallways feel narrow when you’re carrying boxes up and down. Downstairs is always crowded with people rushing by, but once you get inside our space, it’s a bit more settled. We’ve been operating from this same spot for a long time, and the walls are covered in calendars and notes from over the years. We handle the daily trades and paperwork right from the front desk. The light isn't always great in the back rooms, so we keep a few extra lamps going so we can see what we're doing. It’s not a large operation, just a few of us making sure the supplies are coming in and going out to the right places. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the window during the heavy monsoon weeks, and we have to move the files around to keep them dry. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing out entries in the big books we use for tracking everything. It’s a simple way of working, without any fancy computers or complicated systems. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized in the middle of all the paperwork that piles up every week on the desks. It gets a bit dusty with all the old files, but we manage.
