Our office is located on the first floor at 3a, Loudon Street. It’s an old part of Kolkata, and the building has that specific feel you only get in this city. Skipper Ltd. has been operating from here for a good amount of time. Working in West Bengal means dealing with the humidity and the busy streets outside, but we like the location. It’s central enough that getting around isn't too much of a headache most days. Inside the office, things are usually pretty steady. We handle a lot of paperwork and planning for the projects we have going on. You’ll find people hunched over desks or talking on the phone about logistics. It isn't a silent place; there is always something moving. We don't really do the whole modern minimalist office thing. There are files everywhere and the tea guy comes around often. Sometimes the traffic on Loudon Street gets loud, especially in the afternoons. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. Most of the staff has been with us for years. We aren't trying to be the flashiest company in the world. We just stay focused on our tasks and make sure the day-to-day operations keep running without too many hiccups. Being in this part of India gives us a good base to work from. It's just a regular workplace where people show up and do their jobs.
