Learners Guide

We are based in the 700059 area of Kolkata. Learners Guide isn't a big corporate office or a massive institution. We are just a local group of people who wanted to help students in this neighborhood. We don't have a fancy building with a neon sign. It’s more of a practical setup where students can come to clear their doubts. Our focus is really on the day-to-day school work that kids often struggle with. We see a lot of students from the local schools who just need a bit of extra time on certain subjects. The atmosphere here is pretty relaxed. We don't wear uniforms and there aren't many strict formalities. We just have a few rooms with chairs and tables. Sometimes we have a lot of students at once, and other times it's just a couple of people working quietly. We don't spend money on big ads or marketing campaigns. Most families in the 700059 area find us because their neighbors told them about us. It’s a very simple, honest way of doing things. We take the textbooks and we go through them together. If someone doesn't understand something, we try to explain it in a different way until it clicks. It’s just about being helpful and making sure the students feel a bit more confident about their schoolwork. We stay open late most days to accommodate everyone's different schedules.
