Lafarge

Our office is tucked away on Green View Road in Baisnabghata, specifically at P-18. It is a bit different from the busier parts of Kolkata, which is nice because it’s a little quieter, though the traffic on the main road can still be a mess. We handle a lot of the local Lafarge business from here. The building isn’t anything special to look at, just a typical spot where we can keep our files and meet with people when needed. We spend most of our time coordinating deliveries and making sure the paperwork for the various sites is in order. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking lists. We don't go in for big marketing slogans or anything like that. We just try to get the work done without making mistakes. Sometimes the rain in Kolkata makes things difficult, especially with the drainage around here, but we manage to keep things moving. The office itself is pretty simple—just some desks, chairs, and a lot of binders. We’ve got a small team, and we all know what needs to be done. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. We just want to make sure the cement gets to where it’s supposed to be on time. Being in Kolkata-84 has been good for us, and we’ve built up a decent rhythm over the years. It is just a regular job for regular people who care about doing things right.
