We are based in flat 7/B at Nandini Apartment on 3rd Road in Santoshpur, Kolkata. It’s a typical residential building, so we fit right in with the local vibe. Being in Kolkata, it can get very humid, but we have a couple of old AC units that mostly work. Our space is filled with files, old calendars, and a lot of pens that always seem to run out of ink. We manage the cement trade for the local dealers from here. We don’t have a storefront or a big display. It is just a place where we sit and make sure the logistics are moving. We often hear the sounds of the street and the vendors calling out from below. It is a lively part of town. Sometimes we go downstairs to the local tea stall to talk business with the suppliers. We aren't corporate people in suits. We wear what's comfortable and focus on the day's tasks. The apartment lift is a bit slow, so we usually just take the stairs. Most of the people in the building know us as the cement guys. We have a small balcony where we keep some supplies out of the way. It’s not a polished environment, but it gets the job done.
