If you know Kolkata, you know that Kasta Danga Road is always full of life, which is a polite way of saying it is crowded and loud. There are buses and autos constantly honking, and the smell of street food is everywhere. The apartment building itself is an older one. Flat 8 is not very big, but it is enough for the few of us who work out of here. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but we don't mind it much. Living and working in an apartment block means we know all the neighbors. Sometimes we hear their televisions or their kids playing in the hallway. It is a very domestic setting for a business, but it keeps our costs down and puts us right in the middle of a residential hub. We don't have a big sign outside, so people often miss the building if they aren't looking closely. We have been in this part of Kolkata for quite a while now. The commute can be a nightmare during the puja season, but that is just part of living here. We just take things as they come and try not to get too stressed by the city noise outside our window.
