Lafarge India Private Limited

We are based at 5 Dr. Sundari Mohan Avenue in Kolkata. It’s an area that stays pretty active from early morning until late at night. Our office for Lafarge India Private Limited is situated here, right in the thick of the city’s movement. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We don’t have flashy furniture or expensive carpets. Instead, we have sturdy desks and shelves filled with technical manuals and project reports. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they hold up the memories of many years of work. Sometimes the traffic noise from the avenue gets so loud we have to close the windows, which makes it a bit stuffy, but that’s just city life. We spend our hours answering emails and coordinating with the various sites. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure things are where they need to be. There isn't much drama here. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and head back home. We’ve got a small pantry area where we keep our lunch boxes. It’s nice to have a place where everyone knows each other’s names and how they take their tea. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a sleek corporate image. We’re just a group of people working together in an old building on a busy Kolkata street, keeping the wheels turning for the company.
