La Serene Hotels & Resorts Private Limited is based in Jadavpur at 20 Nabanagar. Even though the name sounds a bit fancy, we are actually just a small team of local people. Jadavpur is a very active neighborhood, especially with the university being so close. Our office in Nabanagar is where we handle all the business for the properties we manage. It is not a big corporate headquarters, just a regular place where we keep our files and answer the phone. We spend our days dealing with the usual things that happen in the hotel business. This means talking to guests, fixing things that break, and making sure we have enough supplies. We don't have a big board of directors or any marketing experts. It is just a few of us who have been doing this for several years now. Sometimes the phone rings all day long and it gets a bit stressful, but we just take it one task at a time. We try to be helpful whenever someone has a question about a room. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just want to give people a decent place to stay in our part of Kolkata. The humidity here can be tough on the buildings, so we are always checking on the maintenance. It is a practical, everyday job for us, and we just try to do it well.
