Kyokan Foundation

Kyokan Foundation is located on the 5th floor of P-84 in the Metropolitan Co-operative Society. We are in Section A of the society, which is a bit of a tucked-away spot if you aren't familiar with the layout. Being up on the fifth floor gives us a bit of a view, but mostly it’s just where we keep our files and do our planning. The society is a fairly quiet residential area, so it’s a good place to focus without too many distractions. We don’t have a big sign outside or anything like that. It’s just a normal office space where a few of us gather to work on our foundation’s goals. We like the fact that it’s in a co-operative society because it feels more like a community than a business district. The address is simple, and so is our way of working. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or a lobby with a receptionist. Most of the time, it's just one or two of us answering the phone or looking over documents. We spend our time thinking about how we can contribute to the things we care about. It’s not always fast-paced, and we don’t have a lot of corporate rules to follow. We just do the work as it comes and try to stay organized in our small space on the 5th floor. It’s a practical setup for the kind of stuff we do.
