Kumar Guidance

Kumar Guidance is located at 59 S N Banerjee Road, which is right in the Beniapukur area of Kolkata. If you know that road, you know it’s one of the busier parts of the city. There’s always the sound of horns and people walking by outside. Our space here is quite simple. We have a few rooms where we sit and talk through the different subjects. It’s not one of those places with a big reception or air conditioning in every corner. We just have the basic fans and enough light to see what’s on the page. The 700014 area is quite central, so people come from various parts of the city to see us. We’ve been at this address for a long time, so the floor is a bit worn in places and the furniture has seen better days. But it feels comfortable, like a place where you can actually get some work done. Most of the day is spent looking at notes and explaining things over and over until they click. We don’t really have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. It’s a very steady routine. We show up, open the doors, and wait for the students to arrive. It’s just a normal part of the Beniapukur community, really. We don't try to stand out with big signs; we just keep the doors open and do the work that needs to be done.
