We operate out of Shakespeare Court, which is at 21A, Shakespeare Sarani. It’s an old building with a lot of character and it has been our home for a good long time. Inside, we deal with all kinds of instruments. These are the small things that measure stuff, like gauges and meters that people use in factories or labs. Our desks at Khemka Instruments Pvt. Ltd. are usually piled high with papers and little boxes. It’s a quiet kind of work compared to a garage or a construction site. We spend a lot of time checking the accuracy of the things we sell. If a meter is off by a little bit, it’s no good to anyone. The street outside, Shakespeare Sarani, is always full of cars and people walking to work, but once you get inside the court, it calms down a bit. We’ve got shelves lined with different models and parts that we’ve collected over the years. We aren't much for fancy technology in the office itself; we still use a lot of old-fashioned ways to keep track of our stock. Sometimes customers come in looking for a specific part that was made twenty years ago and we have to go digging through the back room to find it. It’s a steady pace of life here. We just focus on the instruments and making sure the orders go out to the right places. We like the history of this building.
