You can find the Kalpajyoti Foundation over on Dasgupta Road in Ward No. 2Ac. We are set up at Pallab Chanda’s place. It’s a quiet enough spot for the work we do. The full name we use is Kalpajyoti Foundation - An Eternal Flame Of Selfless Service, which sounds like a lot, but we are really just local people trying to help out where we can. We don't have a big office building or anything like that. Most of the time, we are just sitting around a table figuring out who needs help in the community. It’s hard work sometimes, and honestly, we get tired like anyone else. There are days when we wonder if we are making a dent, but then someone stops by and we get back to it. Dasgupta Road is a familiar place for most of us. We grew up around these parts. We do things without expecting a lot of noise or praise. That’s just not how we operate. We handle the paperwork, we organize small bits of help, and we keep the lights on. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We just use what we have. Sometimes we run out of supplies or time, but we manage to keep going somehow. If you are looking for us, just ask for the place near Pallab’s. We are usually there during the day, just getting through the to-do list for the foundation and chatting with whoever walks in to visit.
