Kali Kinkar Globus Sports Initiative Foundation is run out of a ground floor flat on P K Guha Road. It is Flat-A at number 24. We are a small group of sports lovers who think kids in our area should have more chances to play and stay active. Our flat is often full of sports gear like footballs, cricket bats, and nets. It doesn't look like a typical office because it isn't one. We spend our days reaching out to local schools and trying to find open fields where we can organize matches. We don't have a big budget, so we often have to get creative with what we have. Sometimes we are out on the field ourselves, helping to mark lines or set up goals. It is a lot of physical work and sometimes we get quite tired, but it is worth it when we see the kids having fun. We aren't trying to build a huge sports empire. We just want the children in this part of town to have something positive to do after school. We talk to parents and try to convince them that sports are just as important as studies. It is a very local, grassroots effort. We’ve lived on P K Guha Road for a long time, so we know most of the families around here. We are just doing our part to keep the community healthy and active.
