Jeeva Ram Choudhary

Up on the 8th floor of 4 Synagogue Street, in room 820, is where you’ll find us. Jeeva Ram Choudhary is the name on the door, though most of the time it’s just a few of us sitting around the phones. This building is right in the heart of the old business district, so it’s always chaotic downstairs. We’ve grown used to the noise and the constant flow of people. Our office is a bit of a climb if the elevators are acting up, which happens more often than we’d like. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and stacks of ledgers. We do a lot of trading and middleman work, connecting buyers with the right products. It involves a lot of trust and a lot of follow-up calls. Sometimes things go smoothly, and sometimes a shipment gets stuck somewhere for no clear reason. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just want to make sure the orders get filled and the payments happen on time. It’s an honest way to make a living. The carpet is a bit thin in places, and we could probably use some better lighting, but we’re too busy to worry about that. We focus on the people we deal with every day. If you need something, we see if we can get it. If we can’t, we say so. It’s a straightforward way of doing business without any extra fluff.
