Jawahar Singh Chaudhary

Our office is over at Fmc Fortuna, specifically on the 3rd floor at A-15. The building is at 234/3A A. J. C. Bose Road, so it’s right in the thick of the Kolkata traffic. If you work here, you get used to the sound of the trams and the cars outside. Jawahar Singh Chaudhary is the name on the door. It’s a typical office setup, nothing too crazy. We have our files, some old wooden furniture, and a lot of pens that always seem to go missing. Most of the day is spent going through records or talking to people who come by. It’s a high-ceiling kind of building, which is nice when it’s hot outside, although we have the AC running most of the time. The elevator in this building is a bit slow, so sometimes it’s faster to just take the stairs if you aren't carrying too much. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of people; it’s a smaller group of us just doing our daily tasks. We take our lunch breaks together sometimes, or just grab something from the stalls down on the street. A. J. C. Bose Road is always busy, so there’s always something to look at out the window when you need a break from the screen. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now and the routine hasn't changed much over the years. We just keep our heads down and finish the work.
