You can find Omkar Infracon Pvt. Ltd. at No. 11 James Hickey Sarani, which is also No. 11 Dacres Lane. We are on the 1st floor, right by the Great Eastern Hotel. It is a famous spot in Kolkata, mostly because of all the street food stalls downstairs on Dacres Lane. The smell of stew and toast is always floating up to our windows. Our office is a busy place because of the infrastructure work we do. There are usually blue prints rolled up in the corners and people coming in and out with hard hats. It’s a bit of a maze to find us the first time because of how the streets are laid out, but once you’re here, it’s quite central. We’ve got a small team and everyone knows each other well. The building itself has that old Calcutta feel to it, with thick walls and high ceilings. We spend a lot of time on the phone or in meetings about construction projects and materials. It gets pretty loud during the lunch hour because of the crowds outside, but that’s just part of being in this area. We aren't a corporate giant with a glass tower. We are just here on the first floor, doing the practical work of infracon and trying to keep everything on schedule while enjoying the local atmosphere. It is just how we operate day in and day out.
