Indo Himalayan Charitable Foundation

Indo Himalayan Charitable Foundation is located over at Ranu Chatterjee’s place on the second floor of the Shiva-1 building. It is right on Balai Das Chatterjee Road in Hakimpara. This foundation handles things related to the Indo Himalayan region. We started because there were things that needed doing around here. It is just a small setup, nothing fancy. We spend most of our days dealing with the paperwork and talking to people who come by. Sometimes the stairs up to the second floor feel a bit long if you are carrying boxes. Being in Hakimpara means we see a lot of the local life every day. We do not have a big team, just a few of us trying to keep things moving. Most people know the Shiva-1 building, so it is not too hard to find us. We mostly focus on charitable work that reaches up towards the mountains but our base is right here. It gets busy during the week when folks drop in to ask about what we are doing. We try to keep the office tidy but there are always stacks of papers. It is a quiet enough spot most of the time. We have been here for a while now. Everyone knows Ranu. If you are walking down Balai Das Chatterjee Road, you will see the sign. We just keep at it day by day. Not much more to say really, we just do the work.
