Hunger Care Foundation

Our group, Hunger Care Foundation, is set up over on Burdwan Road. We are right near the DBI Golden Plaza, so it’s a busy spot with lots of people passing by all the time. We are staying at the place of Earshad Hussain for now. This whole thing started because we saw a lot of folks struggling around here. It isn't a massive organization with a big budget. It’s just a few of us who wanted to do something about the hunger we see on the streets. We spend our time gathering what we can and getting it to the people who need it most. It’s very hands-on work. We don't sit in an office all day; we’re usually out or organizing supplies in the back. Burdwan Road can be a tough place, and we try to help where it makes sense. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just focusing on our local area. People around the Golden Plaza know us. We keep things simple. If there's food, we find someone who needs it. It’s a lot of logistical stuff, like figuring out who can drop things off and where we can store items safely. We don’t use any fancy terms for what we do. It’s just making sure people have something to eat when they have nothing. We are just regular people trying to be useful in our own neighborhood, doing what we can with the little we have.
