Hotel Lindsay

If you have ever been to Lindsay Street, you know it is right in the heart of everything. Our building is at 8A & 8B. It is an old part of Kolkata, and you can feel it in the air. The New Market is just a stone's throw away, so the sidewalk in front of Hotel Lindsay is always packed with people looking for bargains or grabbing a snack. It’s a bit chaotic, honestly, but that is the charm of this neighborhood. We’ve been here through a lot of rainy seasons and hot summers. The building has its quirks, like all the old structures around here do. Some of the windows don't open quite right and the corridors have a few turns that might confuse you at first. We don't mind it, though. We spend our time making sure the rooms are tidy and that the kitchen is churning out food for whoever is hungry. It’s a local operation. Most of the guys working the shift have been here for a decade or more. We see all sorts of travelers, from people coming to see the sights to folks here for work. It’s just a practical spot to stay if you want to be where the action is. We don't try to hide the age of the place because that is what makes it real. Lindsay Street has its own rhythm and we are happy to be part of it.
