Over in Kolkata, we are at 117 Subhash Nagar Road. It’s in the Rabindra Nagar area, pincode 700065. The office is a bit far from the main city center, which is actually nice. It's a bit quieter here. The building has been around for a long time. You can see the history in the walls. We have high ceilings and old windows. It gets a nice breeze in the afternoons. We handle a lot of administrative stuff here. It’s mostly desks and stacks of ledgers. We still use a lot of paper. Kolkata has a certain pace, and we fit right into it. We don't rush through things. We take our time to make sure it’s done right. The staff here has been with us for years. We eat lunch together and talk about our families. It’s not like those modern offices where nobody knows each other. We know the local tea seller who brings us small cups of tea twice a day. The road outside can get a bit flooded when it rains heavily in the monsoon. We just wear our boots and keep going. It’s a practical place for a hotel corporation to have a base. We don't have shiny glass walls or expensive art. It’s just a solid, old-fashioned office where we do our daily chores and manage the business. Sometimes the ceiling fan squeaks but we don't mind it.
