Himalaya Cement Industries

Himalaya Cement Industries is based at 27 Ahiritolla Street in North Kolkata. If you have ever been to Ahiritolla, you know it is one of the oldest and most packed parts of the city. The streets are very narrow and the buildings have been there for generations. Our office is right in the middle of all that history and chaos. We deal with cement, which is a messy and heavy business, but it is necessary for the constant repairs and new buildings in Kolkata. There is always a truck being unloaded or someone coming in to ask about prices. The air is often a bit dusty from the cement bags, and the noise from the street never really stops. We don't have a corporate lounge or fancy coffee machines. We just have a desk, some chairs, and a lot of work to do. Being in North Kolkata means we are close to the river and the old markets, which gives the business a very traditional feel. We have been part of this neighborhood for a long time. People around here know us and they just stop by when they need something. We don't do any promotional stuff. We just sell cement and try to keep up with the daily rush. It is a simple, honest way to make a living in a very busy city. Even when the traffic is a nightmare, we keep the shop open and ready.
