Hafsaha Foundation

Hafsaha Foundation is located on the ground floor at 43 B B Ganguly Street. It is a loud spot due to the constant flow of traffic right outside our door, but the location makes it very accessible. People can just wander in without having to deal with stairs or elevators. We don't bother with a formal reception area or fancy rugs. Our office is just a plain room where we sit and get things done. Usually, the smell of tea is in the air and a few of us are gathered around the main work table. This foundation started because we wanted a local place where real work happens. We avoid spending money on decorations because we would rather use those funds for our actual projects. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but that isn't a priority right now. Most of our time is taken up by paperwork and phone calls. B B Ganguly Street is a whirlwind of activity, and we do our best to keep pace. Some days are quieter, allowing us to catch up on the filing. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers well. It is a tight-knit community. If the door is open, someone is inside sorting through mail or planning the next step. This small ground floor space is all we need to handle our daily business without any extra fuss.
