Group Studies

Our place, Group Studies, is at 1/19, Surya Sen Nagar in Kolkata. It’s basically a spot where students come together to go over their lessons and prepare for their exams. We’ve got 700117 as our pin code if you’re trying to find us on a map. The rooms are simple with just enough desks and chairs for everyone to sit comfortably. It gets pretty loud sometimes when everyone is discussing a difficult math problem or a history chapter, but that’s just how it goes here. We aren't a big school or anything, just a local place in the neighborhood where kids can focus. The walls are covered with old calendars and some notes from past classes. We spend a lot of our evenings here, making sure the lights are on and the space is ready for whoever shows up. Surya Sen Nagar is a busy area, but once you step inside 1/19, it’s all about the books. We don’t do much fancy marketing. Most of the students come because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend. We keep things straightforward. If someone needs help with a subject, we try to find a way to explain it that makes sense. It’s rewarding to see them finally get it. We’re just here every day, keeping the doors open for anyone who wants to learn. It’s just how we run things.
