We’ve been operating out of Emerald Tower for a good while now. It’s Building 299 in Kalikapur, right near the Em Byepass Crossing where the traffic is always a bit of a headache. The office isn't anything special, just a place for us to keep the files and handle the phones. We deal with concrete and construction materials for projects around the city. You’ll mostly see us talking to drivers or checking on the mixer schedules. It gets pretty loud around here with the bypass traffic, but you get used to it after a week or so. Our day starts early because the construction sites don't like to wait. We spend a lot of time making sure the loads are right and that the trucks are heading to the correct spot. Sometimes things go wrong, a truck breaks down or the rain starts, and then we're all scrambling. People from the neighborhood often drop in to ask about a small job they’re doing at home. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a group of us trying to keep the supplies moving. We’ve seen Kalikapur grow from almost nothing into this massive busy hub. It’s a lot of work, but it keeps us busy. We mostly just focus on getting the concrete where it needs to go without too much fuss. If you’re around the crossing, you’ll probably see our signs.
