Our place is over at 60 Mahanivan Road here in Kolkata. It’s an easy enough address to find once you are in the 700029 zip code area. The building is older, like many in this part of the city, which gives the office a bit of a lived-in feel. We have been working out of this space for a while now, and it suits us just fine. There are desks for the consultants and a small area where we keep the shared files. We aren't the type of company that has a big glass front or a fancy sign. We just have our name on a small board and a door that stays open during office hours. Most of our day is spent looking through data or talking to clients on the phone. It can get a bit noisy when the traffic on Mahanivan Road picks up, but we don't mind it too much. We drink a lot of coffee and try to keep the paperwork from getting too messy. There are no big mission statements on the walls, just a few notes about deadlines and maybe a map of the city. We like the local feel of the neighborhood and the fact that we can walk to a few good food stalls for lunch. It’s a simple, honest way to run a consultancy without all the extra polish.
