Gautam Coaching Centre

Our place, Gautam Coaching Centre, is located in Birati, right near the Nabo Jibon Colony in Kolkata 700051. It’s a quiet enough pocket of the city compared to the main roads. The building is one of those older residential-style structures that’s been converted a bit. We have a small sign outside so people don’t walk past the gate. Most of the work happens in the two larger rooms at the back. We have rows of desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. There are some ink stains here and there, but they serve their purpose. We don't have air conditioning, so we rely on the ceiling fans which can get a bit noisy when they're on the high setting. In the rainy season, we have to make sure the windows are shut tight because the wind blows right across the open area near the colony. We keep a water cooler in the corner that always seems to need refilling. It’s a very local feel here. Everyone knows the neighbors and we often see the same faces walking by every morning. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team; it’s just us handling the day-to-day tasks. We spend our time preparing for the sessions and making sure we have enough chalk and markers. It's a simple life in Birati, just doing the work we know.
