Furrfolks Foundation

Furrfolks Foundation is based out in Baruipur. We are care of Sk. Sahir Ali at Uttar Khodar Bazar. The address is on Kobi Nazrul Sarani. It’s a bit of a way from the main center of Kolkata but we like the area. We deal with animals, as the name suggests. It is not a massive facility, just a local effort. We spend a lot of time on the ground around the bazaar. Kobi Nazrul Sarani is a well-known road so finding us isn't too difficult if you know Baruipur. We started this because we saw a need for it in our local community. It’s mostly just us and a few volunteers when they can spare the time. The work is hard and sometimes the days are long. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. It’s more of a hands-on type of place. West Bengal has a lot of animals that need a bit of looking after, so we do what we can. Our zip code is 700001 as listed, which is a bit unusual for here, but we are definitely in the Baruipur section. Being near the bazaar means we see a lot of people every day. We just try to help out where we can without making a big fuss about it. It’s a simple operation run by people who care about the local furred friends. We just keep our heads down and do the work day to day.
