Free Lance Consultant

I operate as a Free Lance Consultant from Flat 2A in the Siddhi Block of Riddhi Siddhi Gardens. It’s right on Diamond Harbour Road in Kolkata, just opposite the E.S.I.C. Hospital. That hospital is a major landmark, so people never get lost looking for me. The 700104 area is usually jam-packed with buses and taxis, so it can be quite a struggle to get here during peak hours. My office is basically a room in the apartment. It’s got my books, a desk, and my computer. It’s not a polished corporate suite with leather chairs. It’s a place where I sit down and think through problems for my clients. Living and working in the same complex has its ups and downs, but it saves me from the daily commute. I usually have the fan going and some papers spread out everywhere. The Riddhi Siddhi Gardens is a decent enough place, and the neighbors are mostly families. Sometimes you can hear the sirens from the hospital across the street, which reminds you of where you are. I don’t have a secretary or a marketing team. I just handle the consultations myself. It’s a very simple one-person operation. I like the independence of it. I can work at my own pace without having to answer to a boss in some high-rise building. It’s just me and my work.
