Faith & Hope Welfare Foundation

Our foundation is based in the Leningarh area of Chandpur, which is over in Barrackpore. We operate out of Munmun Chakraborty’s place. It’s a pretty quiet spot in North 24 Parganas, mostly just houses and small local shops. We don't have a big, flashy sign outside or anything like that. It’s just a normal building where we get together to work on welfare projects. Most of us have lived in this area for a long time, so we know the struggles people face around here. We aren't interested in being a big name. We just want to do some good. The office is pretty basic, just some desks, chairs, and a lot of paper. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when everyone is there at once, but we make it work somehow. We spend a lot of time talking to the local residents and trying to figure out how we can be helpful with their daily issues. It’s not always easy, and there are days when things feel a bit disorganized or we get overwhelmed. But we keep at it because we care. We don't have any marketing people or a big plan to expand into other cities. We just focus on what’s happening right here in our own neighborhood. If someone needs help, they usually just walk over and talk to us face to face. It’s a very direct way of doing things, without all the red tape you find in other places. We like the fact that we are a real part of the community, not just some office tucked away somewhere far away.
