You can find Fabcon Fenestration over at 59/A Pratap Aditya Road in Kolkata. It is an old street with a lot of character and a lot of noise. We are in the 700026 area code. Our shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but we are always busy inside. We work on windows and doors, which is what fenestration really means, though we don't usually use that big word when we are talking to people. We just say we do windows. The front door is usually propped open to let some air in because it gets stuffy with all the cutting and assembling. There is a lot of glass around, so you have to be careful where you step. We spend our days measuring frames and making sure the seals are tight. It’s a lot of manual work and our hands are rarely clean. The local tea seller knows us by name because we order so many rounds. Sometimes the traffic on Pratap Aditya Road gets so bad that the delivery trucks can't even get close to the door. We just deal with it. It’s a local business and we’ve been in this spot for a while. We don’t have a fancy showroom with lights and carpets. We just have our tools and our materials. If you need a window fixed or a new one put in, we just talk about it over a desk covered in sawdust and sketches.
