Masonite Emporium

We are located right on 57/D, Chittaranjan Avenue, which is always a busy spot in this part of town. If you know CR Avenue, you know how the traffic can be with the buses and taxis constantly honking outside. Our shop has been here through all sorts of weather. It’s a bit of an old building, but it has character and plenty of space for what we do. We mostly deal with boards and doors and that kind of stuff. The smell of wood is the first thing you notice when you walk inside. It is a bit dusty sometimes because of all the moving around of materials, but we try to sweep up at the end of every day. People come in looking for things for their homes or for bigger building projects. We don’t have those fancy computer displays you see in the malls. We just show the actual pieces we have in stock. My desk is usually covered in old receipts and notebooks where I keep track of what goes out. The light in the back of the shop isn't the best, so we often have to bring pieces to the front near the door to show the real color to folks. It’s a simple way of doing things. We’ve known some of our customers for years, and they usually stop for a quick chat about the news or the weather while we check the prices. It's just a local shop trying to stay busy.
