We’ve been at 57 Mott Lane for quite a few years now. If you go behind Jyoti Cinema on Monilal Saha Lane, you’ll find our shop tucked away there. Most people know where the cinema is, so it is not too hard to get to us once you are in the area. We mostly handle aluminium fittings and that kind of metal work. It is a busy spot, especially with the traffic around the cinema. Sometimes the lane gets a bit crowded with deliveries and people moving about. We just open up in the morning and get to work on whatever orders came in the day before. The machines are usually running by nine. It gets noisy with the cutting and shaping, but that is just how the job is. We have a few guys here who know how to handle the frames and the glass bits. It is honest work. The shop isn't fancy or anything, just a place with tools and metal stacks. Sometimes the dust from the street comes in through the door, but we try to keep the workspace clear enough to move the longer pieces around. If you are looking for us, just look for the sign near the back of the theatre. We are usually here until the evening when things quiet down. It is a decent place to work, even if the lane is a bit cramped at times. We just keep our heads down and finish the fittings.
