You’ll find Eyeline Social Welfare Foundation on the second floor of a building at 4 MB Road in Belgharia. We are in Flat 201. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have a big sign out front or a fancy lobby. It’s just an office where we get things done. Being in Belgharia means we are part of a tight-knit community. We know the people who live in the other flats and the shops on the ground floor. We spend our days working on social welfare stuff. It involves a lot of talking to people and trying to solve local problems. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we feel like we aren't doing enough, but we keep trying. The office is often full of papers and tea cups. We don't worry too much about keeping everything perfectly neat. We’re more concerned with the actual work. We chose this location because it’s where we belong. We aren't some big organization from somewhere else. We are from right here. If you walk up to the second floor, you’ll usually hear us talking or working on something. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just do it. It’s a practical, no-nonsense way to run a foundation. When the summer heat hits, we just turn on the old ceiling fans and keep going. It gets stuffy, but that’s part of life in an office on MB Road. We focus on the tasks at hand and don't get distracted.
