Ekta Floral Welfare Association

We are over at 27 Christopher Road, tucked inside the Ekta Floral complex. If you come looking for us, head straight for Block-5. We are up in Flat-C-2. It’s a typical Kolkata setup where you can hear the street noise but once the door is shut, it’s mostly just the sound of the ceiling fan. The hallway in Block-5 can be a bit dim if the lights aren't on, but our unit gets a decent amount of afternoon sun. We’ve been here for a while now, surrounded by families and other people just going about their days. It’s not a fancy office with big glass walls or anything. There’s a desk, some chairs, and a lot of papers that always seem to pile up no matter how much we tidy. Sometimes the neighbor's kids are playing in the corridor and you can hear them laughing. Being on Christopher Road means everything is close, which is handy when we need to grab a quick snack or run an errand. We like the vibe of this building. It feels lived-in and real. People here recognize each other and say hello in the morning. It’s a busy spot in the city but inside the flat, things move at their own pace. We spend most of our hours right here, looking out the window at the other blocks. It’s a simple space for the work we do and it fits us well enough.
