Ek Mutho Swapno Foundation

We are located out in the village of Itla Pora Para, which is part of the Krishnanagar I area in Nadia. It’s a nice change of pace from the city. Our base is at Chanchal Debnath’s place. It’s a very local setup, and most people around here know us by name. We started this because we wanted to do something for the village. The name basically means a handful of dreams, and that’s really what we are about. We don't have a big office building. We just use the space we have. There’s usually a lot of activity, with neighbors coming by to talk about their problems or just to share some news. It’s not a formal environment at all. We often sit outside if the weather is nice, just discussing what needs to be done next for the community. The roads around here can be quite dusty during the dry season, so everything in the office gets a thin layer of grit. We don't mind it much. We aren't trying to be some big corporate foundation. We just want to help out the people we’ve grown up with. It’s simple work, like helping with local issues or organizing small things for the families here. We don't have a big website or fancy brochures. We just talk to people face to face. It feels more real that way. We’re just regular people trying to make a small difference in our own backyard. It’s a good way to live and work.
