Our office is located at 33/B Abhedananda Road, which a lot of people still call Beadon Street. We are on the first floor. It is an old part of Kolkata with a lot of character. The building has those thick walls and heavy doors you don't see in new constructions. We share the floor with a couple of other small businesses. Inside, the space is divided into a few working areas. We have some old wooden shelves that are filled with books and old records. The 1st-floor location is nice because we aren't too far from the street level but we get a little bit of distance from the pavement noise. We spend our time here working on different consulting projects. It’s a small group of us. We have a routine of starting early before the traffic on Abhedananda Road gets too loud. The windows are large, so we get some good natural light during the day, which helps. We didn't do any major renovations when we moved in, just painted the walls and brought in our desks. It’s a very functional environment. We don't have a receptionist; usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it when someone knocks. It's just a normal, everyday office where we try to stay on top of our work. Sometimes we walk down to the tea shop at the corner to take a break. It feels like home after all these years of coming here.
