Das Brothers

Das Brothers is located at Ah 6/1 in Jangra, inside Govinda Niwas. It’s a family thing, really. We’ve been working out of this space for a long time. It isn't a large warehouse or anything like that. It’s more of a ground-floor setup where we keep our supplies and run the daily business. My brother and I are usually here from early morning. We handle a bit of everything, mostly building supplies and some hardware. The walls are a bit stained from years of moving boxes around, and the ceiling fan wobbles a bit if we turn it up too high. People from the surrounding apartments come in when something in their bathroom leaks or they need a bag of cement for a small repair. We know the layout of these houses pretty well. It’s a quiet enough area, but we stay busy with the local trade. We don't do much advertising; people just know we are here at Govinda Niwas. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when things are slow and watch the traffic go by. There’s always a bit of a mess on the floor with bits of wire or cardboard, but we sweep it out every evening before locking up. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s what we know. We just take each day as it comes and try to keep the shelves stocked with the basics. It’s just the two of us making sure things keep moving.
