C. C. I. L. Cement Industry

Darga Road is where our cement setup is. It's a busy stretch of road and we are right in the middle of it. The place stays quite dusty because of the nature of what we do. Bags of cement are always being moved or loaded onto flatbeds. It’s a tough environment, especially when it’s humid. We don’t have a fancy reception area. You just walk in and talk to whoever is at the counter. We deal with builders and contractors mostly. There’s always a faint smell of concrete in the air. We’ve been at this Darga Road location for a long time now. Most people around here know where we are. We have a small office space tucked away from the main loading area. It’s where we keep the records and handle the payments. The phone rings a lot with people asking about prices or delivery times. We try to get things out as fast as possible, but the traffic around here can be a nightmare. Sometimes the trucks get stuck for hours and we have to wait around. We just take it as it comes. It’s a hard-working place with no frills at all. We have a few fans going to keep the air moving during the afternoon heat. Lunch is usually a quick break before the next load arrives. It's basic work, but it keeps the city building. The floor is never really clean, but that’s just cement for you. We keep a few chairs for people to wait while we check the stock in the back.
