Crockery Centre Chandni Chowk

We’ve been here at 36A Chandni Chowk Street for a long time now. If you know Princep Street, you know how busy it gets with all the traffic and people moving around. Our shop is just one of those places where we keep stacks of plates, cups, and all sorts of glass items piled up. It gets pretty dusty sometimes because of the main road, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Most days start with us moving crates around and making sure nothing breaks. The shelves are quite crowded and there isn’t much room to walk if a few people come in at once. We don’t really do fancy displays or anything like that. It’s mostly just us sitting here, waiting for someone who needs a new set of dinner plates or maybe some sturdy tea cups for their office. Sometimes the tea stall guy next door brings us some chai and we chat about the weather or how the street seems noisier than usual. It’s a simple life. We know the regulars who live around the corner and the shopkeepers who have been our neighbors for years. Nothing much changes here, besides maybe the patterns on the bowls we get in. We just keep the doors open from morning until the sun goes down and try to keep everything organized enough so we can find what a customer asks for in the back. It’s a lot of manual work every day.
