We set up Commencez Business Consultant Privatelimited over at 1/28 Arobinda Nagar in Jadavpur. It’s a quiet enough spot, though the LP 55/14/5 mark helps people find the exact building when they get lost. Jadavpur is a busy part of Kolkata, so being tucked away in Arobinda Nagar is nice for focusing on our work. We’re mostly just a small group of people who know a bit about business and try to help others figure things out. Our office is pretty basic. We’ve got some chairs, a couple of old desks, and plenty of tea cups lying around from our morning breaks. It’s not the kind of place you’d see in a magazine, but it works for us. We spend our time looking at numbers and talking through problems. Sometimes we stay late because a client has a mess that needs sorting immediately. We don't use any fancy jargon; we just say things as they are. The fans overhead make a bit of a clicking noise, but you stop noticing after a while. Being near the Jadavpur police station makes it easy to give directions to anyone coming for the first time. We’ve been working out of this space for a bit now. It’s a practical setup. We handle the consulting side of things without making it sound more complicated than it needs to be. Most of our day is just regular work, nothing flashy. We like being in this neighborhood. It feels like home to us, and we know all the local tea stalls.
