Cloudmadesimple Private Limited

Working out of Sarosi on B B Chatterjee Road means we spend a good chunk of our mornings waiting for the lift to get up to the 12th floor. It’s a busy building, especially around lunchtime when everyone is trying to go down at the same time. Our office is in Flat 12C197A, and it’s a pretty simple setup. There are a few desks pushed together and some old chairs that we probably should have replaced a year ago. We don’t have any big signs or fancy reception areas, just a door with the company name Cloudmadesimple Private Limited printed on a piece of paper. Most days it’s just the sound of keyboards clicking and someone complaining about the slow internet. We usually take turns making tea in the small pantry area. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits our side of the building directly, but the AC usually handles it if we keep the blinds shut. People often get lost finding this specific flat since the corridor layout is a bit confusing, so we find ourselves going out to the lift lobby to wave guests in quite a lot. It isn’t the most glamorous spot in Kolkata, but the view from the window is okay if you like looking at rooftops. We’ve been here for a bit now and the neighbors are mostly quiet, which helps us stay focused on the tasks at hand.
