Being right on Chittaranjan Avenue means there is always a lot of noise from the street, mostly taxis and buses honking all day. Kolkata 700073 is a busy area to work in, but it’s central, which helps. The office isn’t huge, just enough space for our desks and some old files we’ve kept over the years. We spend a lot of time on the computer or talking to people about resort bookings. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit moody, so we just take the stairs since it’s only the first floor anyway. It’s an old place with a lot of character. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a simple door with the company name on it. Working in this part of Kolkata feels very grounded. You see the same people selling fruit or tea every morning when you walk in. We just focus on managing the resorts and keeping things moving. It’s practical work. We don’t really bother with big speeches or anything like that. We just show up, do the work, and head home like everyone else. The Ganpati Chamber has been here for a long time, and we’re just one part of it now.
