Chirantan Welfare Foundation

We are based out of Moutusi Saha’s place, right by the Lokenath Temple. This is in Harnathpur Uttar, part of Ranaghat-II. The temple is a big landmark, so it is pretty easy for people to find us. We hear the temple bells throughout the day, which is actually kind of nice. Ranaghat is a place where everyone seems to know everyone else. We do not have a fancy corporate lobby. It’s just a room where we sit and handle the foundation’s business. Moutusi is around a lot, making sure things stay on track. We do a lot of paperwork and talk to the neighbors about what is going on in the area. It is not very exciting work, but it is what we do. The humidity in West Bengal can be a bit much, especially in the afternoons. We have a small table and a few plastic chairs for when visitors stop by. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us trying to stay organized. Sometimes we have to run errands around Harnathpur, so the office might be empty for an hour. We try to be helpful whenever someone walks in. It is a very local thing we have going here. Nothing too complicated, just daily life and the work we’ve committed to doing. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't.
