Our office is on the 3rd floor of Vanijya Bhavan, which is at 1/1 Wood Street. It’s part of the ITFC building complex. Being on the third floor means we get a bit of exercise if the elevator is acting up, which happens every now and then. Wood Street is a well-known spot, but our office feels quite tucked away once you get inside. It’s a bit different from the street level noise. We have a few rooms filled with desks and a lot of paperwork. There are rows of filing cabinets that have been there for years. The light coming through the windows is nice in the mornings. It’s a functional space where we handle all the administrative stuff. People are usually typing away or talking on the phones. It’s not a modern glass office with open floor plans. We have real walls and doors that creak a little. We have a small pantry where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for the afternoon. The staff has been here a long time, so we all know how the office runs. It’s a steady environment. We don't have any fancy art on the walls, just some calendars and old maps. You have to sign in at the front desk downstairs before coming up. It’s a quiet place to work compared to the busy roads outside. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done.
