Our office for Calcom Cement India Limited is located at A 2 / 16 in the East Enclave area of New Town. Calcutta has expanded so much lately, and being out here in New Town feels a bit different than the older parts of the city. Everything is a bit more spread out, and the buildings look newer, though the dust from all the construction nearby still finds its way inside. We handle the cement distribution side of things from this desk. It’s mostly about making sure the trucks are where they should be and that the orders are filled right. We have a few chairs for visitors, but mostly it's just us and the computers. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoons, so we keep the curtains drawn to stay cool. People stop by frequently to ask about prices or delivery schedules. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the address and the name. It’s a practical workspace for a practical product. We’ve been here since the enclave started filling up with other businesses and families. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we go when we need a break from the paperwork. It’s a straightforward job, and we take it one day at a time, making sure the records are kept straight.
