Over here on East Topsia Road, things are always moving. We are at number 11, right by the bypass area. It is a busy part of Kolkata, as anyone who lives here knows. Keeping a pool clean and a resort running in this humidity is a full-time job. I am usually up before dawn checking the water levels and making sure the filters are working okay. The sun in Bengal doesn't play around, especially in May. We get a lot of families from the city who just want to get away from the traffic for a few hours. The road outside is always loud with trucks and cars, but once you get inside the gates, it quiets down a little bit. We’ve been at this for a long time now. The building shows its age in some spots, but we think it adds a bit of character. It is not like those new glass buildings you see popping up everywhere. We have some trees that provide a bit of shade, which is a blessing. Some days are slower than others, especially when it is raining hard and nobody wants to swim. But on the weekends, it is a different story. It is just me and a few local guys keeping the place going. We don't have a big marketing team. If you happen to be driving down the bypass and see our sign, you are welcome to stop in. We are just regular people trying to keep this place afloat.
