Binani Cement Ltd.

This Binani Cement Ltd office is up on the 4th floor of the Krishna Building, Room 401. The building is located at 224A, A.J.C. Bose Road. It’s a big, busy street in Kolkata, so getting here can be a bit of a challenge with the traffic. The elevator in the building works most of the time, but sometimes we just take the stairs if we are in a hurry. Once you get inside the office, it’s a bit quieter than the street, but you can still hear the trams and the buses below. We have several desks set up for the team, and there is usually a lot of talk about logistics and shipment dates. It is a typical city office with fluorescent lights and stacks of paper. We don't really have a view, just the buildings across the street. Most of our work is done on computers or over the phone with the plants and the distributors. We have a small corner where we make tea or eat our tiffin during the break. The building has a lot of other businesses too, so the hallways are always busy with people coming and going. It’s a bit cramped but we make it work for us. We just go about our business of managing the cement trade for this region without much fanfare. It’s a steady job in a busy part of the city.
