It’s a long way up, and the view of Kolkata from the window is actually pretty interesting, even if we're too busy to look at it most days. BIGCORP FINAL CONSULTING LLP might sound like a big name, but we are just a small group of people working together. We deal with consulting work, which mostly means we spend a lot of time on our computers and talking to people on the phone. The office is usually filled with the sound of typing and some light chatter. We don't have a receptionist in a suit or anything like that. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. Things can get a bit messy with papers scattered around, but we know where everything is. It’s a functional space. We’ve been in this building for some time now. Some days are longer than others, especially when there is a lot of data to sort through. We don't really go in for those flashy presentations. We just get the work done and move on to the next thing. Being in this part of town means there is always something going on outside. It's a bit noisy, but that’s just life in the city. We keep our heads down and stay focused on the tasks we have. It’s been our home for years.
