You can find us over on SN Roy Road, specifically at number 219/5. It is a pretty typical part of North Parganas here in Kolkata. The traffic on Roy Road is almost always heavy, so there is a constant sound of horns and engines in the background while we work. Our space is located at Lp 12/14, and it’s a modest setup. We don’t have fancy glass walls or expensive furniture. Mostly, it’s just stacks of documents and a few computers that have seen better days. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we need. During the monsoon, the street outside gets a little flooded, so we have to be careful coming in. We usually have some tea around four in the afternoon, which helps us get through the rest of the day. Neighbors drop by sometimes just to say hello or ask a simple question. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to write shiny brochures for us. It’s just us handling the day-to-day stuff as it comes. Some days are quieter than others, but there is always something to look at or fix. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work at hand without making a big deal out of it. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in the office at once, but we make it work. The fan rattles a bit but it keeps the air moving at least.
