Bharati Crockery

Bharati Crockery is right in the middle of the mess that is Chandni Market. Our address is 36A on Princep Street, which is a place that never really sleeps. If you've ever been to this part of the city, you know how narrow the lanes are and how many people are pushing carts around. Our shop is filled to the ceiling with plates, bowls, and tea sets. We have boxes stacked in every corner. It’s not the kind of place where you have a lot of room to walk around, but we know where everything is. We’ve been here for a long time, watching the market change around us. People come here from all over to find specific types of glass or ceramic stuff. We don't have any fancy lights or displays. We just keep the stock ready. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, so we are always wiping things down. It is a bit loud with all the shouting and horns outside, but that’s just Princep Street. We aren't trying to be a big chain store. We are just a local crockery shop. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to us for years. We just take it one day at a time, selling cups and saucers and chatting with the other shopkeepers in the market. It is a crowded way to live, but the work is steady and we know the neighborhood.
